On your way to work or just visiting for a great breakfast Butterwhisk is your spot. Great service, really good food and convenient for so many of us in this area.
We were in Austin for only a weekend and stumbled upon this place on a Sunday morning and were very pleased with all of our food! (Pics included). We ordered a variety of meals including: fruit explosion French toast with that blackberry glaze (highly recommend), the meat lovers omelet (which was huge) and also came with 2 perfectly sized pancakes dusted with powdered sugar and hashbrowns), a waffle with berries and Nutella, chicken and waffle which my brother in law raved about, medium cooked eggs which were cooked to perfection, and lots of crispy bacon for the table! We loved the vibe and the decor and talked amongst ourselves about all the great things like the cute blue couch, the black subway tile area, and those huge mirrors offset at each booth that were magnificent! Our server was attentive and personable which made everything better!
Carmen was a pleasure, great service! Sadly, I wanted to try the Heavenly Hash but they had just run out of corned beef... that was okay though, because I instead tried the southwestern bowl and it was delicious! Gravy with biscuits could use a little more sausage in the gravy, but overall was really good. Husband liked his Denver omelet. So glad we finally have a sit down-serve you brunch restaurant here. I've been waiting for one for a long time! It would be even more awesome if they offered flavored lattes with whipped cream on top (similar to menus at Le Peep in Omaha, NE, which is my favorite brunch place EVER ;) We will definitely be back to BBH on the regular!
The food is divine! We shared an avocado toast that came with balsamic reduction, some kind of pink goop that was amazing and perfectly poached eggs on top. We had a side of Nutella strawberry pancakes.
Fantastic Breakfast Experience at Butter Whisk Brunch House! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Butter Whisk Brunch House, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly service, setting the tone for a delightful meal. The atmosphere at Butter Whisk is cozy and inviting, with charming decor that creates a welcoming ambiance. Despite it being Easter and crowded, my party and I were seated promptly, thanks to the efficient staff. Now, onto the food! I ordered the combo with eggs over easy and French toast, and every bite was a delight. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the French toast was simply divine – fluffy on the inside and perfectly golden on the outside. My wife opted for the Monte Cristo sandwich, which she thoroughly enjoyed. What truly sets Butter Whisk apart is not just the delicious food, but the attention to detail and quality of ingredients. Each dish was presented beautifully and tasted even better than it looked. Overall, my experience at Butter Whisk Brunch House was nothing short of fantastic. From the friendly service to the mouthwatering food, everything exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu offerings. If you're looking for a delightful breakfast or brunch spot, look no further than Butter Whisk Brunch House – you won't be disappointed!
This is my third time coming in. I enjoyed the food, Aby was our server for the second time. Happy to say even though she was busy, she was attentive. Would come and visit again. I’ll keep getting the avocado toast next time
Butterwhisk is a very cute place to eat breakfast or brunch. They get swamped on the weekends but every staff person works their ass off to help you. I stopped by on a Sunday morning just to watch the crowd. It was a noisy, fun and energetic place. My wife and I stopped by for a late breakfast this morning and we were happy to see that it was busy but not crowded at all. Nyomi made sure that we were happy with our food and checked on us several times. My wife ordered Eggs Benedict on GF toast and I ordered the Sweet Creme Pancakes (3) medium size. They had the perfect density. I'm not a big fan of super fluffy tasteless pancakes so I really enjoyed these almost crepe like, thick pancakes. I also tasted their Hollandaise Sauce. There are 3 kinds of Hollandaise Sauce. This Hollandaise Sauce was not the yucky weird tasting kind you occasionally find in Country Kitchen greasy spoon diners. It was also not the classic Hollandaise that is light and lemony. Their Hollandaise is like the delicious classic version, but with a touch of the yummy country biscuit gravy consistency and flavor. It was really good.
We’re so excited to have a great breakfast spot in the neighborhood. The egg dishes are the stars - the Benedict’s and breakfast bowls are flavorful and cooked to perfection (hubby said the southwest bowl is the best he’s ever had - high praise!) we would love the side pancakes to be lighter and fluffier so that would be my one tweak from opening week, but service and vibe were great and we’ll be back soon!
